Soft commodities are also handled at C. Steinweg Handelsveem BV. Examples of soft commodities are groundnuts, coffee, tea, cocoa, spices, herbs and a variety of other agricultural products. In our Rotterdam office soft commodity specialists are standing by with whom all related subjects can be discussed.

We have ample temperature controlled warehousing facilities for groundnuts as well as dedicated warehouses for a wide variety of spices and all are equipped with the necessary upgrading facilities such as grinding, cleaning (through sieves), metal detection, dust removal and steam sterilisation. In close co-operation with our blanching facility in Flushing, groundnut receivers can be given an all-round service. Our Amsterdam office is specialized in the Cocoa trade. Needless to say that our facilities are LIFFE approved.

We are also acting as independent tea blenders on behalf of our principals. Special tea cleaning and repacking are part of the services we are able to offer in our dedicated tea warehouse. Oxygen low treatment cells are developed to be able to deliver your product free from live infestation. In all of the above HACCP standards are fully respected.
