Qingdao, one of China’s major cities, is located on the north east coast of China and situated on the east end of the Shandong province. It is renowned for its beautiful scenery.

Qingdao Port was established in 1892 and consists of the original Qingdao Port, Huangdao Oil Port and Qianwangang Port. Qingdao Port is ranked as the 14th container port in the world with its 15 terminals and 72 berths. It is the second port with a volume of 100 million tons in China which makes Qingdao port an important port and ocean transportation hub at Pacific west coast. It is also equipped with the largest container terminal, crude oil terminal and iron ore terminal in China as well as world-class coal terminal, bulk grain terminal. Meanwhile, Qingdao is an important coastal economic centre in China and one of the centres for transshipment trade, financial service and IT along Huanghe River at eastern China.

In order to expand its value-added service network in China, Steinweg recently set up its Representative office in Qingdao to provide customers with services such as bonded and non-bonded warehouse storage, handling and distribution, freight transportation, customs clearance and documentation, repacking and marking for dry and frozen cargo.
