Because of the high handling costs in Hong Kong we started to offer warehousing services in Shekou in 1998. This is only 20 miles away from Hong Kong, at the south-eastern end of Nantou Peninsula - the gateway from the South China sea to the Pearl River Delta.

In Shenzhen there are three major ports: Yantian, Chiwan & Shekou. The terminals are equipped to accommodate 6,600 TEU vessels. Chiwan and Shekou are more suitable for handling metals as they have small berths for river barges whereas Yantian is mainly used for light industrial products.

Shekou Customs recently simplified the customs formalities to speed up the releases. Therefore a lot of cargoes are brought to Chiwan / Shekou by feeder vessels from Southern China and then transshipped to Asia, America and Europe.

This business is growing at a double digit rate. Apart from these transshipments we also handle cargoes in our bonded warehouses.
