The Group Compliance Manager / Regional Compliance Officer Europe is responsible for leading and further developing the C. Steinweg Group’s compliance function. In this combined role, you will oversee the group-wide compliance framework and act as the primary compliance lead for the European region. The Group Compliance Manager is based at the Head Office in Rotterdam and is part of the Governance, Risk & Compliance department (“GRC”). GRC is a department composed of multiple group focus areas, each headed by a professional responsible officer. GRC consists of group support functions Legal, Compliance, Insurance, Information Security, ESG and Risk Management/Internal Control.
This is what you’ll be working on
- Design, develop and continuously improve the group-wide compliance framework;
- Act as the Regional Compliance Officer for Europe and support the implementation of compliance within European entities;
- Provide hands-on guidance on KYC, trade controls and sanctions compliance;
- Monitor regulatory developments and advise management on compliance-related risks and actions;
- Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and inspections;
- Train employees on compliance policies, standards and procedures;
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related questions across the organization;
- Work closely with Legal, regional compliance officers and business stakeholders to promote compliance awareness and maturity.

- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Compliance, Audit or Risk Management;
- Practical experience with sanctions and trade compliance in an international setting;
- Experience working with multiple entities and stakeholders across different countries;
- Strong hands-on and pragmatic approach;
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively;
- Decisive, resilient and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment;
- Experience with SAP GTS and/or compliance case management tools is a plus.
