Overview:

The purpose of the position is to manage human resources and legal matters for the company; ensure compliance with all statutory requirements; and handle human resource-related activities.

Key Job Functions:

Implementation of Policies and Practices

  • Inform and advise employees on applicable policies and practical procedures in the company.
  • Enforce staff adherence to Company policies and procedures.
  • Guide management by updating and recommending on human resource policies and procedures.
  • Advise the company on human resource issues

Staff Recruitment and Placement

  • Participate in staff recruitment processes.
  • Manage staff employment contracts and ensure they are up to date and properly filed.
  • Updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Inform management on time about the status of contracts and those due for renewals

Staff Performance Management

  • Guide division managers/team leaders to conduct.
  • Job evaluations and staff performance management in their departments/divisions.
  • Manage the schedules of periodic staff performance management.
  • Manage probations and assessments of staff.
  • Keep records of performance assessment and evaluation forms.

Managing Employer & Employee Relationships

  • Link employees and employer and manage their relations.
  • Manage employees’ welfare programs and events.
  • Manage all terminations of Employees, including exit interviews/investigation with a formal offboarding.

Disciplinary and Compliance

  • Address the company codes and rules of compliance with employees.
  • Manage disciplinary actions for the company.
  • Manage daily, weekly and monthly attendance reports.
  • Handle staff grievances and complaints.
  • Counselling employees on behavioural issues.

Staff Work Hour Management

  • Manage staff attendance by monitoring Synerion system daily.
  • In consultation with division managers, monitor work schedules, including overtime and shift work and ensure correct hours are captured on the system.

Records Management

  • Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  • Staff leaves management by updating on Synerion and keeping in the file daily.
  • Prepare and share staff reports with HRM & management.

  • General knowledge of Employment Laws & Labour Relations procedures.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field of study
  • 2+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles
  • 2+ years of experience in Labour Relations and Employee Relations
