The Port of Dar es Salaam is officially closed, and no personnel are currently on site. As a result, there is no cargo movement in or out of the port, and current shipments will experience delays.

The disruption is directly linked to nationwide unrest following the recent general elections in Tanzania. Reports indicate that mass protests erupted in Dar es Salaam and other cities in response to the elections, resulting in a curfew, widespread road closures, and disruptions to transport and logistics services.
