This year marks 20 years since POL-AGENT became part of the C. Steinweg Group. The company is marking the occasion with an important next step: on 1 November 2026, POL-AGENT will open its own warehouse in Gdynia, just 1.6 km from the port’s container terminal.
“Joining the C. Steinweg Group in 2006 was a major milestone, accelerating our growth and the global expansion of our services,” says Mateusz Dziechciarz, Commercial and Forwarding Manager at the Szczecin office.
From freight-forwarding agency to multi-location logistics operator
POL-AGENT started in 1990 as a freight-forwarding agency. Since then, it has grown into a logistics operator with multiple locations. Today the company is active in the ports of Szczecin, Świnoujście, Gdynia and Gdańsk, as well as at the inland locations of Małaszewicze and Gliwice. Its reach extends well beyond Poland, with strong connections to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Italy and Austria, backed by Steinweg’s global network.
A new warehouse close to the terminal
The new warehouse is located at Ul. Kontenerowa 27 in Gdynia, just 1.6 km from the container terminal. It is set up to serve the needs of importers and exporters in the region.
The facility offers 5,200 m² of covered warehousing and 1,800 m² of open storage. It is equipped for the handling and storage of aluminium, steel, paper & pulp, soft commodities, project cargo and general cargo. The warehouse is customs-bonded and supported by POL-AGENT’s own customs agency.
Two decades of growth
Over the past 20 years, POL-AGENT has become the leader in aluminium, steel, and pulp & paper handling in Poland. Along the way, the company obtained AEO status in 2009 and received the Forbes Diamond award in 2014.
Built by the team
None of this would have been possible without the team. POL-AGENT currently has 84 colleagues, a number that will soon grow to 90, and many of them have been with the company for many years.
For Mateusz, the new warehouse brings those years of effort together. “The opening of the new warehouse in Gdynia marks the culmination of years of growth and hard work by our team,” he says. “It enables us to further enhance our offering for our business partners and creates a solid foundation for our continued development.”
